New Year’s Resolution
None.
I stopped making New Year’s resolutions. I realized that most of our resolutions are changes… changing for the better.
Why wait at the end of the year? Why not make resolutions everyday? Make resolutions once you’ve made the mistake and realized what is right. Make resolutions when you need to change to be a better child, sister, friend, collegue, or just a better human being.
Besides, if you think about it, we don’t really get to achieve these resolutions on that year. We tend to forget after a week. And if we do, we’ve already forgotten that it was a New Year’s resolution. So why make New Year’s resolutions that we’ll never get to accomplish right away? We would just fail and lie to ourselves that we can accomplish these promises.
My point is, if you really want to change, you don’t need to make New Year’s resolutions. You need to change right away. There’s no need to wait to welcome a new year. Make resolutions everyday of the year, there will always be tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day. It’s the same shit.
